Kurzweil 3000™ is the premier reading, writing and learning software for
struggling students. Because Kurzweil 3000 is content independent, teachers in
elementary, middle and secondary schools alike use it to help students succeed
in the classroom regardless of their curriculum.
Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh is designed specifically for Macintosh computers
with a simple, graphic user interface that appeals to a wide range of students
from elementary school to college.
Universal Binary Support for Maximum Performance
On a Macintosh with a PowerPC processor, or the more recent Intel-based
computers, Kurzweil 3000 for Macintosh Version 4 runs at maximum speeds.
Create Audio File Feature with iTunes Integration
Reading on the go has never been easier with the Create Audio File feature.
You'll have a number of options for file conversions, including AAC, Apple
Lossless, or MP3; a choice of reading voice and reading speed; and the option
to save audio files to a folder or to an iTunes playlist for effortless
transfer to your iPod.
Read the Web using Mozilla Firefox
Kurzweil 3000 enhances audible and visual access to Web pages with Mozilla
Firefox, opening the Internet to all users while providing the same reading and
reference features that users enjoy within Kurzweil 3000.

Add Bubble Notes for Powerful Instructional Support
Use Bubble Notes to embed questions and instructional support to assigned
reading to help your students stay on task and enhance comprehension. Students
can create them, too, while reading and then extract their text later for study
guides.

Customizable Toolbars
You now have drag and drop ease for customizing toolbars to provide one-click
access to dozens of programs features such as Create Audio File and Extract
Notes.
New Document Navigation Tools
You can reorder pages in an image document or quickly navigate to a specific
page using the Thumbnails View.
New and Improved Text-to-Speech Voices
Version 4 comes with two text-to-speech Cepstral voices: Cepstral Callie and
Cepstral David. To hear samples of the Cepstral voices,

Circle-the-Answer Option for Tests
Students can now circle-the-answer on multiple choice test formats in addition
to the other test-taking tools in the program.
Writing and Editing Enhancements
The Concise Oxford Dictionary and Thesaurus have been added for more support
when writing and editing. In addition, the Ruler, available from the Writing
Toolbar and the Format menu, gives easy-to-access options for setting text
justification, margins, tabs, line spacing, and font styles, as well as for
adding lists.
Lock Document Settings
Set options such as Prevent Copying, Prevent Printing, Highlighter and Sticky

your preferred settings will override the program's default settings.
